Draw on the play. Bring it into your vMix show.
vMix runs the show: cameras, graphics, replays and the stream. ProPlayVision adds the piece a lot of school and local broadcasts are missing, an analyst who can draw on the play. It runs in your browser on the same Windows PC, and its clean output window comes into vMix as a Desktop Capture input like any other source.
vMix gives small crews a real TV setup: multiple cameras, a score bug, lower thirds and instant replay on the higher editions. What it doesn't give you is the booth analyst's pen, the arrows and circles that show viewers why the play worked.
ProPlayVision fills that gap without new hardware. Your analyst loads the clip, draws the breakdown, and your director cuts to the ProPlayVision input just like cutting to a camera or a replay.
We tested this setup with vMix on Windows. No plugin or extra software is needed.
On the same Windows PC that runs vMix, open ProPlayVision in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and load your film or clip.
Click the output button. A separate window opens that shows only the canvas, with no menus or toolbars.
In vMix, click Add Input → Desktop Capture and pick the ProPlayVision output window from the list.
Use a 1920×1080 canvas so the drawings stay sharp at your vMix output resolution.
Your analyst draws in the main ProPlayVision window. Cut or transition to the input in vMix whenever you want the breakdown on air.
