Built football-first. Ready for any sport's video.
ProPlayVision started as the most complete football telestrator we could build. Most of what makes it work, like player spotlights, tracking, replay, voiceover and one-click OBS output, works on any sports video. Here's what you can use today, and where it's headed next.
A telestrator is a tool for drawing over video. Analysts use one on TV to circle a player, draw his route or shade the open space, so viewers see what they're describing. Coaches use one in the film room, and streamers and creators use one to break down highlights.
The first telestrators were broadcast hardware: a special screen and pen in the TV truck. Today a telestrator can run as software, and ProPlayVision runs entirely in your web browser. New to the term? Read what is a telestrator for the history and the different types.
We built ProPlayVision for American football first because that's the game we know best. Our founder has coached football for more than 25 years and has been breaking down film since 2001.
But a telestrator's core job is the same in every sport: freeze the moment, show the player, draw the space, explain the decision. The tools that do that aren't tied to a football field, so coaches, analysts and broadcasters in other sports can use them on their own video today.
These tools work on basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball, lacrosse or any other sports video you can load in your browser.
Put a spotlight, ground ring or player ISO on any athlete so viewers know exactly who to watch.
Lock a spotlight or marker to a player and it follows him through the play, with AI-assisted motion tracking.
Draw movement, passing lanes and areas of space with arrows, lines, poly zones and zone fills.
Rewind what just happened and draw on it — telestrated replay, live.
A clean output window you capture in OBS for live streams, with no plugin.
Script Mode voiceover sync, the Cut Room editor, 9:16 vertical clips and a thumbnail creator.

A telestrator lets you draw over video to explain a play, the way TV analysts do on broadcasts. Coaches use them to teach from film, and creators and broadcasters use them to break down highlights. More in what is a telestrator.
No. ProPlayVision runs in your web browser. See the online telestrator.
